The entire 94 minutes is a two hander interview between a documentary filmmaker played by Matthew Holmes and a sex worker, Angie. A filmmaker is shooting a documentary about sex. He interviews a sex worker, Angie.

In a bare film studio, a director is standing ready with his crew for an interview with a prostitute. Eight different actresses portray one and the same woman: Angie, the eloquent prostitute. While the ladies are very different in their appearance, age and clothing, they are the same person with the same text.

For all its joy, warmth, and enthusiastic taboo-shatteringSex and the City —which took place in a glitzy version of Manhattan that was curiously devoid of people of color—was notoriously clumsy about dealing with race. Its takeaway is that Samantha—who rarely so much as interacts with people of color, let alone dates them—is actually the open-minded person here. As has been well documented this week, the show did debut 20 years ago, so the episode gets a sprinkling of leeway; perhaps at the time, playing up so-called reverse racism seemed provocative in a good way.

When white women present their own desirability and sexuality as weapons against white supremacists, they gloss over their own role in racism and demand too little of themselves in fighting it. White women declaring they're denying white men sex reinforces the racist idea that sex with white women — and only white women — is some kind of prized commodity white men should have access to in the first place. During slavery, racist men and women thought of black men as animalistic and overly sexual; these stereotypes have carried over into present-day expectations that black men are more well-endowed and have higher libidos than anyone else.

White sexuality, before and after slavery, always provided a means of white control over blacks.
